How do you understand this sentence? As my understanding, this is not the same as :" I am looking at you. Is it Avanda?!?!? Never heard of such a movie. If, however, by any chance you meant to say "Avatar", the "I see you" phrase there means something like "I recognise your presence and I salute you". Or something to that effect. But, except for the film, it is not something I've ever heard in normal English. At least not with that meaning. While the origin is debatable , the use and meaning are consistent across the board.
